This week Pastor Joe, Kim and Tevo reflect back on why the topic of motherhood stirs up emotions in us. They also talk about the good, the bad and the ugly around the story of Esther. The "bad" is the abusive undertones on the part King Ahasuerus. Maybe an odd choice for a Mother's Day sermon? The "good" is Esther's willingness to risk sacrifice for the sake of her people. It's also Mordecai's posture of caring for Esther. Now the "ugly," well, that goes to the tale of Kim's bloody, gory, deviated septum surgery recovery.
